Yoga Basics
- Choose a class level that is appropriate for you now.
(If you aren’t sure what level is right for you, try a lower level class first and then check with the instructor about what might best serve your needs. It’s better to start gently and then move up only when your body is ready.)
- It is ideal to do yoga on an empty stomach.
- Wear clean comfortable, stretchable clothing without zippers or buttons on the front.
- Be sure to let your instructor know of any medications or conditions that might affect your practice. (The instructor may be able to give you safe alternatives or helpful suggestions to make the practice safe and therapeutic for you.)
