The Tamarack Fitness Center now has a Pilates Reformer available to clients. The Reformer is an amazingly elegant machine, providing finely tuned exercise resistance that allows the individual to work very precisely to develop good alignment, core strength, and flexibility. To learn more about the Reformer and schedule training sessions, contact Lori Zimmerman at fitness@tamarackwellness.com. The Reformer can only be used when an instructor is present.

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Laurie is currently teaching the Yoga/Ski class on Thursday evenings and will now be taking over for Oliver as the Room Rental Coordinator at Tamarack. In this role, Laurie will work with the many users of our meeting and event rooms and will help market this aspect of Tamarack to the general public.
Laurie has a BS in Physical Education and Recreation and has worked as a community ed coordinator, a recreation coordinator, an adventure travel coordinator, a whitewater rafting guide, and a wilderness guide. She has lived as close as Redmond and as far away as Zambia! Her motto? "Life is Good!"

Sandi Thompson is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, NTP, certified by the Nutritional Therapy Association of Olympia, Washington. She is also a certified Wellness Coach. Her practice in the Eugene/Springfield area is focused on helping clients learn HOW to choose a nutritious meal featuring whole foods. The goal is to lower the threat of diabetes, safely detoxifying the body and to keep things realistic. The primary philosophy is "Doing Better Than". She works with individuals, families, companies, and institutions.
